So, I told a few of you all at dinner tonight that I was going to make a blog about my jaw surgery and what better time than finals week to start? Basically after surgery I am not going to be able to talk that well for the first couple of weeks, if I can even come down off of the drugs I'll be on to make coherent sentences. So if you're at all interested in what's going on just check on here. More than likely I will be so bored out of my mind for the month that I'll be home that this will give me something to do. It will probably help me keep my mind off of food too, I hope!
For those of you that have absolutely no idea what is going on right now, let me just tell you that I didn't get these braces put on a couple months ago because they are irresistibly sexy. Actually, two weeks from Thursday (May 14th) I'm going to be having jaw surgery to correct my underbite. Let me just lay it out for you. What is basically going to happen is my surgeon man is going to knock me out and take a bone saw to my jaw right behind where my wisdom teeth used to be. Then he is going to move my jaw back about 5 millimeters, so he says, and wire me shut for 6 weeks. I have the pleasure of eating out of syringe for 6 whole weeks. Secretly I'm not mad about that part, college did a number on me in the lbs. department. This should be a nice fix for that problem.
I'll keep you posted on how it all pans out with a little update and some bound to be hilarious pics. So if you need a good laugh check me out.
